Late one night sitting around a table of photographer friends, one that I refer to as "G-Money" and that is not in reference to her or her personality at all. She just doesn't mind it that I gave her a gangsta rap name when she is the complete opposite. Well, G-money decided she wanted to do a shoot but didn't know what theme or what to do. BUT AHA!! I remembered a few years ago when I got this crazy idea to make a dress from something that is not fabric and/or material, so I purchased a ton of COFFEE FILTERS! By a ton, I want to say at least 8 packages. But you know the saying, "Out of sight, Out of mind." The filters were buried under props and fabric inside of another prop. I told G-money that I would like to try that and how about we all make a dress out of non-fabric items and I was EXCITED. For once, I didn't have to buy anything! I set aside a few 30 minutes segments to fold coffee filters. Surprisingly, it went by pretty fast.
The day arrives and I don't have my dress put together but I have a whole trash bag full of folded coffee filters. I get to the shoot, put the dress together on the model and awesomeness occurred. BUT, I can only show you this sneak peek because I may use it for print competition!
